SILENT OWL
Siba at Casa de Francisca

In continuity with its new live streaming concert project, with no present audience yet, "Till the end, singing", Casa de Francisca presents Siba, musician and composer from Pernambuco, Brazil, through Lô Politi’s filmmaking perspective and cinematographic curatorship by Laís Bodanzky.

In the concert live streamed and filmed by the filmmaker Lô Politi, Siba presents his newest work, "Silent Owl" inspired by Coco music style and its thousands varieties of rhythm and poetry - the popular culture of Mata Norte in Pernambuco, Brazilian popular music of Northeast ascendancy and drawn upon the region traditional oral poetry, the african diaspora music and its reflux into the continent modern music, specially in Congo. The lyrics show clear reflection of the indefinite gap there is between people and animals. With Rafael dos Santos (drums), Lello Bezerra (electric guitar and bass), Mestre Nico (voice, percussion and trombone).

Lô Politi is the director and screenwriter. Her first feature film, "JONAS", has been awarded with the special jury prize in the Rio International Festival and has taken part in over 10 international festivals. She is ending the feature film "SOL" and the documentary "ALVORADA", which covers the latest days of Dilma Roussef during the impeachment process, in a partnership with Anna Muylaert; and she is also in the pre-production of "MEU NOME É GAL", fictional feature film about the singer Gal Costa, in a partnership with Dandara Ferreira.

The photography will be directed by Thaís Taverna, who will also count on professionals from DAFBE (Collective of Women and Transgender People from Photography and Cinema Department).
